Moonbouncing

For Alexander's third birthday, we had a small celebration with the grandparents, then a party for his friends from school at a local venue that has moonbounces. From the moment we told Alex about the moonbounce place and upcoming party, he has been asking about it. Today was a fun day. I especially liked not having to clean up.

Three

Alexander,

Yesterday, you turned three years old, and we celebrated with a somewhat quiet, small party with your grandparents, which was entirely lovely. After an unexpectedly hectic Friday afternoon with altogether too much going on, Saturday proved to be a wonderfully relaxed celebration, and you really took to it. It's rare that you get so much time with your grandparents all in the same place, and it was fun to watch you with them.

Highlights of the day for you seemed to be opening (and then playing with) your new lefty golf clubs from Poppop and Mommom - unfortunately I didn't get any photos of the swing, so will need to save those for another post - and blowing out your candles on your cake (which you did really well this year). All in all, you seemed to really enjoy your day, and we had a blast watching you have fun.

In the last year you have changed so much, it's difficult for me to see any more of my baby still left in you. I think it's official that you are a big boy now. The last three years have been a joy and a pleasure for Daddy and I and we can't wait to see what the next year brings for you.

We love you,
Mommy

Long Weekend

Our four day weekend is coming to a close, and although Alex and Skip get a fifth day tomorrow I am back to work. Overall, it was a great four days. We took a trip to Sesame Place, had some fun with a box and a roll of aluminum foil, and ate some pretty nice meals. A trip into Philly this morning was the last highlight...

These are three of my favorites from the box / aluminum foil thing. This was all Skip and Alex's doing...

Sesame Place 2009

Skip and I took Alex to Sesame Place today, to enjoy a day out and the amazing weather we've been having. This was his second trip, and he still loves it, although the skepticism in some of the photos conveys otherwise...
