Three

Alexander,

Yesterday, you turned three years old, and we celebrated with a somewhat quiet, small party with your grandparents, which was entirely lovely. After an unexpectedly hectic Friday afternoon with altogether too much going on, Saturday proved to be a wonderfully relaxed celebration, and you really took to it. It's rare that you get so much time with your grandparents all in the same place, and it was fun to watch you with them.

Highlights of the day for you seemed to be opening (and then playing with) your new lefty golf clubs from Poppop and Mommom - unfortunately I didn't get any photos of the swing, so will need to save those for another post - and blowing out your candles on your cake (which you did really well this year). All in all, you seemed to really enjoy your day, and we had a blast watching you have fun.

In the last year you have changed so much, it's difficult for me to see any more of my baby still left in you. I think it's official that you are a big boy now. The last three years have been a joy and a pleasure for Daddy and I and we can't wait to see what the next year brings for you.

We love you,
Mommy
