Boo!

We enjoyed Halloween in our little corner of the world this year. It was Alexander's first official trick-or-treating experience here, and I believe the night was a success for him. On our way home he remarked to me that his candy bucket was too heavy to carry.

Apart from a few of the odder treats I've seen in a Halloween haul, the boy did pretty well (a juice box from one house, and a package of Swiss Miss hot cocoa mix among them - made me think they either forgot about the date or forgot to turn off their porch lights). We'll be enforcing strict candy rations from henceforth.

Now for some cuteness...

Flashback from Summer

Finally getting around to editing some of the video we took this summer. I have to say, this has become one of my favorites.

The music is "Life in Technicolor" by Coldplay.

Brother and Sister Bonding Time

Alex seems to enjoy Charlotte's new sitting skill...I have to think it's more interesting to have a sister who does something more than lie on her belly all of the time. I suspect that he will be singing a different tune when she figures out how to crawl and his toys are at risk.

For now, we're just enjoying the sitting.

Also, check out that shiner. I think this is his fifth. He bumped his eye on the table in our family room as he was standing up the other day. It is fairly evident that he has inherited his clutziness from yours truly. It's highly likely he will also share my talent for falling down. Poor kid...he's doomed.

Next Week, She'll Be Reading Tolstoy

Charlotte turned seven months today. And she started sitting for more than a few seconds. She seemed very pleased with herself. I know it's only a matter of time until she's asking to wear eyeshadow and is completely and totally embarrassed by us. Tear.
