Alexander,
In lieu of your traditional 24 and 25 month letters (I have fallen behind again), I am writing tonight to commemorate what I am sure are two very special events in every parent's (and also child's) life.
1) The first time your son or daughter figures out how to climb out of his crib, gets some major air, and lands face-down on the floor and;
2) The first night your son or daughter sleeps in a new Big Boy/Girl Bed, which has been painstakingly researched by crazy mother on the night of the terrible thump and purchased, then assembled (two times) by devoted father the next day.
Yes, your cushy days of crib sleeping are over, kiddo. We've moved onto bigger and better things...like wondering how to keep you in your room. Like walking you back to your big boy bed several times a night. Like Mommy erupting in tears at the sight of your crib, the place you slept from your fourth month on this earth until tonight, nearly every night, taken apart and lying on the guest room floor.
You are not a baby anymore, guy. You are officially my big boy!
Sweet Dreams...
